Practice Nurse

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse to join our team in this large, patient focused, friendly teaching GP Practice based in Princes Risborough and Chinnor. Strong nursing skills together with the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment is essential to this role. Applicants should be post registration of 1 year minimum.

Experience in Primary Care and Asthma/COPD is desirable but not essential as training will be provided to the right candidate. Interest in further training and personal development is vital.

Informal visits are encouraged and welcomed prior to application.

Pay is dependent on experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £19.00-£22.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week

Our Team

  • GPs: Six Partners, four salaried GPs
  • Clinical/Nursing Staff: Two Prescribing Nurse Practitioners and a full Nursing Team.
  • In house paramedic and pharmacist.
  • PCN Services: Paramedic visiting service, Pharmacists, Health and Wellbeing Practitioners, Social Prescribers, Physio.
  • Technology: EMIS Web, Accurx, Docman10, Ask First appointment mapping

Job Description

As a Maternity Locum at The Cross Keys, your role will include:

  •  List based
  • 12-minute appointments, mix of face to face/telephone, [14 appts am, 14 pm]
  • £12,517k per session per annum
  • Low visit frequency [access to visiting paramedic]
  • Admin light – we have first line document management by administration team and pharmacy technician for re-coding, blood test follow up and medicine reconciliation
  • Dedicated paperwork time allocated
  • Duty Doctor: Participate in a supportive rota system, with digital triage and appointment mapping systems
  • Encouraged to attend weekly meetings: Weekly business and clinical meetings
  • Breaks: Enjoy coffee and lunch breaks with complimentary tea and coffee
  • Work with dynamic, friendly and supportive partners

What We Offer

  • Leave: Six weeks annual leave and one week study leave pro rata
  • Monthly session of protected time – for GP meetings/locality meetings
  • Regular practice socials
  • Prescribing ANPs, prescribing pharmacist, and in-house advanced paramedic for minor illness, duty team
  • Excellent PCN support with physiotherapy appointments, visiting paramedic, social prescriber, health and well being coach
